My studio is based in the Inland Northwest where I create through drawing, mixed-media sculpture, papermaking, experimental printmaking, hand-drawn animation/projection, and more.
WAITING (2015) this large charcoal drawing begins about 12 feet up the wall; continuing onto the floor where you see the figure
LIBRARY (2020) an under-garment made into a collagraph plate printed over hand-written titles of books found in my home
RUBBINGS (detail-2021) these graphite on rice paper rubbings were taken from my personal pandemic 'bubble' and stitched together in a quilt form
SWAP (2021) this is a gallery install detail of a collaborative drawing project with fellow artist Mariah Boyle. 10 drawings 4'x8' draw/swap/draw/no rules
a glove from my RUBBER show in 2022 these gloves were a combination of watercolor pencil and free-form collagraph
BODYMOLD (hand detail-2023) using a collagraph technical approach I have begun printing rubber body molds left over from past sculpture projects
Ceramic Hand Tile (2023) this is a peek into my upcoming clay project...an etching press and a slab roller have a lot in common!
BLOOM (2023) this is a collaborative work with poet Mark Anderson using a combination drypoint and collagraph four plate process

I’m working toward my October show at the Saranac Art Projects: Now We May Begin
A call for care/stewardship of our natural world and a moment of calm in the whirlwind that is our current social-political shitshow.
The show will feature (if all goes well) a video projected onto quilt sectioned/contoured porcelain panels surrounded by myriad porcelain cups/stones/water.
A working image from my studio is posted above & I will continue to share updates/images as things progress…
Someday I hope to solve the video link issue I’ve been struggling with so that I can share my tiny films with you. Until then I hope to see you at SAP this October!
